NOTES: Emma ("Emm" in the Mass. records) was perhaps a second (or more) wife. She was definitely the widow of this man and mother of his very young children when he died. But according to an article about the late genealogist John Insley Coddington in the July, 1991 New England Historical and Genealogical Register, this John Coddington sailed to America (ahead of his parents) in 1635, on the Susan and Ellen, with his wife Mary.
