NOTES:
One of a pair of sisters who married Gibbons brothers (Mary Williams
married James Gibbons). There is also an Elizabeth Williams disowned
by the Somerset Monthly Meeting for marrying a Gibbons, 4/25/1842, and
Peninah did have a sister named Elizabeth--so there may have been three.
Peninah was "condemned" for her marriage, 5/29/1837. There was also a Rachel
Gibbons who married a Williams in the same MM records and was disowned
for it, 2/28/1842--Peninah's younger brothers John and Richard are candidates
for this, and there are five other unknown Gibbons siblings, of whom Rachel
could be one.
