NOTES: Both Stockdale and Sarah emigrated from Dorking, Surrey, Eng. to Roxbury, Mass. before 1643. He moved to Hampton, N.H. after she died of apoplexy. She was his third wife (did he give them all apoplexy, I wonder?).
