Informed Consent

This research is being conducted by Ashley Adams and Whitley Holt, who are students in the Psychology Department of Hanover College. The study in which you are being asked to participate is designed to examine individuals’ perceptions of people involved in casual sex. You will be asked to complete an online survey. After you have completed the questions, you will be given a demographic questionnaire. Finally, when all questions are answered, you will be debriefed. The entire study will not take more than 20 minutes. There are no known risks involved in being in this study, beyond those of everyday life.

All information from the study will remain anonymous; your name will not be associated with your responses. Participation in this study is voluntary. Refusing to participate or ceasing to participate at any time will involve no penalty. Incomplete participation will not result in credit for participating, but you may complete an alternative assignment of equal time commitment in order to receive credit.
