COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course explores the role of nature and of nurture in shaping the behavior and traits of human beings, considers whether there is a generalized "human nature" and, if so, attempts to define its characteristics.  Perspectives and evidence from biology, psychology, anthropology, and sociology will be considered in this team-taught course.
